Location & Getting Around

The hotel’s spot on Linhe Middle Road is actually brilliant — couples seem to love it here, and I can see why. You’re close enough to the Canton Tower that you can walk there on a nice evening, but far enough from the tourist crowds that you get a real feel for the city. The free private parking is a genuine lifesaver if you’re driving, which isn’t something you find everywhere in this part of town. Plus, Tianhe Sports Center metro station is just a few minutes away, so getting to the old city or the airport is pretty straightforward.

The Room Experience

My room was on the 12th floor with a decent view of the district’s skyline — nothing spectacular, but you know what, it felt comfortable and well-maintained. The beds are actually firm (which I prefer), and the air conditioning works properly, which matters more than you’d think during Guangzhou’s humid summers. The bathroom was clean and modern, though not particularly spacious. What I appreciated was the attention to details like good lighting for reading and enough outlets near the bed for your devices.

Dining & Amenities

The hotel’s restaurant serves a mix of Cantonese and international dishes — the dim sum breakfast is surprisingly good, though I’d recommend trying some of the local spots nearby for dinner. There’s something to be said for a hotel where the staff can point you toward the best xiaolongbao in the neighborhood rather than just keeping you in-house. The fitness center is basic but functional, and the business center actually has reliable wifi and printing services that work without a hassle.

Here’s the thing about this place — it’s got a solid reputation for repeat guests, and after staying here, I understand why. It’s not trying to be the fanciest hotel in Guangzhou, but it delivers on the fundamentals really well. The location gets consistently high marks because you’re genuinely in the middle of everything that matters, whether you’re here for business meetings in Zhujiang New Town or exploring the city’s food scene.
