What struck me most was how the staff seemed to anticipate your needs before you even realized you had them, which honestly sets the tone for everything that follows.

The hotel sits right on Zhujiang East Road in Tianhe District, and I mean this location is absolutely stellar. You’re essentially in the heart of Guangzhou’s business and shopping district, with the Canton Tower practically next door and the Pearl River just steps away. What couples particularly love — and the 9.8 location rating from guests proves this — is how walkable everything is. The Guangzhou Opera House, Taikoo Hui shopping center, and some of the city’s best restaurants are all within easy reach. Plus, having free private parking is actually a huge deal in this part of town where parking can be a nightmare.

The Rooms and Amenities

The rooms here are what you’d expect from a luxury Jumeirah property, but with thoughtful touches that make them feel distinctly Guangzhou. Floor-to-ceiling windows offer incredible city views — I particularly loved watching the Pearl River come alive at night. The bathrooms are spacious with deep soaking tubs, and the beds are genuinely comfortable (you know how hit-or-miss hotel beds can be). What impressed me most was the attention to detail — from the quality of the linens to the way the room controls actually work intuitively.

Dining and Breakfast Experience

The breakfast spread at Jumeirah Guangzhou is honestly one of the better hotel breakfasts I’ve experienced in China. They’ve got this extensive buffet that covers continental classics, Asian favorites, and solid vegetarian options — so whether you’re craving congee and dim sum or eggs benedict, you’re covered. The quality is consistently high, and the dining spaces have great natural light with river views. I actually found myself lingering over breakfast most mornings, which doesn’t usually happen when I’m traveling for business.

  The staff are extremely helpful – they speak English and they assist you 24/7. Particularly James, he was always available for us helping us in everything making our experience great. On top of this all the rooms are on the 50th floor and above and the view is amazing. Rooms are very clean and the food is just amazing.

  First of all, incredibly polite and welcoming staff. Will take care of pretty much anything. Room was huge and extremely clean. View was absolutely amazing! Breakfast was amazing, very friendly and helpful waiters as well. Hotel facilities are phenomenally. There was not a single bad thing about this hotel, I’m definitely coming back! Recommend!

  Breakfast proposed a large variety of options (western and Asian) and it was tasty enough for a buffet style.

  The hotel is well appointed and so clean, we actually looked up the pillows online because they were so comfortable. It’s a really easy walk from the hotel and very scenic. The room service food was delicious and I liked the small details in the room. Concierge were amazing nothing was too much trouble.
