Here’s what I love about staying in Yue Xiu district — you’re right in the heart of old Guangzhou without the tourist circus. The hotel sits on Sanyu Road, and I mean this when I say the location is genuinely excellent. You can walk to Yuexiu Park in about ten minutes (perfect for morning jogs, by the way), and the Canton Tower is easily reachable by metro. The subway connections here are fantastic — Xiaobei station is close enough that you won’t be dragging your luggage too far, but far enough that you’re not dealing with constant noise.

The Room Experience

My room was on the eighth floor, and while it wasn’t huge, it felt spacious because of how well-designed it was. The windows are actually decent-sized, which matters more than you’d think in a dense city like this. What struck me was the attention to detail — good lighting for reading, enough outlets near the bed, and a bathroom that didn’t feel like an afterthought. The air conditioning works properly too, which honestly can’t be taken for granted during Guangzhou’s humid summers.

Dining & Amenities

The hotel restaurant serves solid Cantonese food, though I’ll be honest — you’re in Guangzhou, so you’ll probably want to explore the incredible street food scene nearby. What I appreciated was the breakfast spread, which had both Western options and local dishes that actually tasted authentic. There’s also a small business center that’s useful if you need to print boarding passes, and the parking situation is better than most places in this part of the city if you’re somehow brave enough to drive here.

  Conveniently located in Yuexiu District, one of the suburbs in the CBD, the hotel is close to a supermarket (about 5 minutes' walk), a number of cafes and a McDonald's outlet. Tugged away in a side road, the hotel is in a courtyard, away from traffic noise. The staff are friendly and helpful.
